Write with Confidence

A guided course for parents of children aged 5 to 12. Learn how to help your child's messy handwriting at home, in about 10 minutes a day, with a live Q&A with me every week.

Why it works at home

It's not laziness, and it's not your fault

  • Handwriting is a coordination task

Writing asks a child's body and brain to work together: posture, hand strength, eyes, memory and planning, all at once. When one part is struggling, the letters show it. Effort alone doesn't fix that.

  • Ten minutes a day is enough to start

Short, guided practice fits into a real evening. You don't need a therapy schedule or a pile of worksheets.

  • No diagnosis needed

The course is built for kids who haven't been assessed yet, and for kids who have. You start with what you're seeing at the kitchen table.

The four pillars

How the course works

  1. Know your child

Learn what's behind the writing you're seeing, so you work on the right thing first.

  2. The body first

We start where handwriting starts: posture, hand strength and coordination.

  3. Letters the right way

How letters are formed, in an order that makes sense to a child's hand.

  4. Coaching without the battle

How to practise together so it ends with a high five, not a meltdown.

Clear options

Know what to do about what you're seeing

  • What to try at home

Practical activities matched to the pattern you're noticing, so you work on the right thing first.

  • What to ask the school

Plain-language questions and requests to bring to your child's teacher. [Andrea: confirm]

  • When to bring in an OT

Clear signs that it's time for an in-person assessment, and what to expect if you go that way.

The heart of the course

Every week, bring your questions straight to me.

Write with Confidence includes a live Q&A with me, an OT, every week. Bring what you noticed at the homework table, a worksheet from school, or the question you've been carrying around all week. You won't be doing this alone.

  • Live with Andrea, every week
  • Ask about your own child
  • [Andrea: confirm day, time, and whether recordings are available]

Is this right for your family?

It's for you if

  • Your child is 5 to 12 and their handwriting is messy, slow or hard to read
  • They haven't been assessed, or you're on a waitlist
  • You want a plan you can follow at home, a few minutes a day
  • Your child has a diagnosis, or doesn't. Both are welcome

It's not the right fit if

  • Your child needs a full assessment or one-to-one therapy right now
  • You're worried about much more than handwriting, such as daily self-care or physical development
  • You're looking for a guaranteed result. Every child is different

Not sure? The course includes clear signs for when it's time to see an OT in person. [Andrea: confirm]

Questions parents ask

When does it launch?

Write with Confidence opens in December 2026. Join the waitlist and I'll email you the day doors open.

Do I need a diagnosis?

No. It's built for kids who haven't been assessed yet, as well as kids who have.

How much time does it take?

Short lessons you can watch on your phone, and about 10 minutes a day of practice with your child.

Is it right for an older child?

It's designed for children aged 5 to 12. [Andrea: what to say for 10 to 12 year olds and cursive]

Where is the course hosted?

On Thinkific, a course platform. You'll get a login when doors open and can watch the lessons on your phone, tablet or computer.

How much will it cost?

[Andrea: price, or "Pricing will be shared with the waitlist first."]

Is this the same as seeing an OT?

No. The course is general education for parents. It isn't an individual assessment or treatment. If you have concerns about your child's development, an in-person assessment is the right next step.

Write with Confidence is general education for parents. It is not an individual assessment, diagnosis or treatment, and it doesn't create a therapist and client relationship.
